GMA Primetime King, Dingdong Dantes, refused to comment on the alleged feud of his wife Marian River and Alyas Robin Hood leading lady, Andrea Torres. This issue seems to be persistent considering the fact that it has started last summer, during the first season of the mentioned primetime series.

Despite his silence with regard to the matter, Kapuso actor did not shy away in commenting about the ceaseless bashing they always get from social media. This is still in relation to the affair issue which he decided to keep quiet about. With this, Dingdong said “karapatan naman nila magkomento,” almost accepting every comment being carelessly posted on the internet.

He also reiterated “kasi kapag dumating na sa bashing, cyberbullying nay un… no one deserves to be cyber bullied.” He even explained how cyber bullying is not fair, and how prone celebrities are with regard to the matter. “And cyberbullying can lead to so many things… nandiyan ang depression,” Dantes reasoned.

The lead star of Alyas Robin Hood even put the topic into a wider perspective.

When to Stop Pulling the Freedom of Speech Card?

With the advent of the internet, most people would say that they are free to say whatever they want because it is a part of their freedom of speech and expression. However, Dingdong has a take with regard to this most abused card of all:

“Kahit sabihin nating freedom of speech, freedom of expression, kailangan may regulation pa rin kahit paano.”
